Pope Urban IV commands the bishops of St Andrews and Dunkeld to place Laurence, a Friar Preacher, elected by the dean and chapter, in the see of Argyll, if they find him worthy of that dignity, and to consecrate him, receiving from him his oath of fealty to the pope.
