Description
J[ohn], bishop of Dunkeld, with the abbots of Cambuskenneth and Lindores as papal judges-delegate, pronounces judgment in the dispute between Dryburgh Abbey and C., the clerk, over the chapel of Cleghorn (LAN). The clerk was summoned twice and finally by a peremptory edict; because he did not appear on the stated day [nor] send a reply on his behalf, they awarded possession to the canons and entrusted the execution of the judgment to the archdeacon of Glasgow by authority of the pope.
