Description
An agreement is formed between Durham Priory and Kelso Abbey, in the presence of Hugh, bishop of Durham, the abbot and convent of Kelso quitclaimed claims they had to the chapel of Earlston (BWK) and the prior and convent of Durham granted to Kelso the chapel of Gordon (BWK) in exchange; Kelso also quitclaimed the church of St Laurence of Berwick and the teinds of one ploughgate of land that they held in the same villa and all other local teinds, except those from the fishery called ‘Berwickstreme’.
