Description
Richard, bishop of Aberdeen, states that in the case between Sir Philip of Meldrum, knight, and Lady Agnes Comyn, his spouse, and Arbroath Abbey, regarding the advowson of Bethelnie (ABD) and its pertinents, in the presence of the dean of Dunkeld and the precentor of Moray and other commissioners, it was decided that the office of rector of the church would be held by the abbey for their own uses, and that Sir Philip would present to the abbey for the altarage of the church of Bethelnie with all the teinds of Bethelnie, ‘Senglassangorty’, ‘Glessangorty’, ‘Ordnadulach’ and Cardrum (ABD).
