Description
An agreement is formed between the church of Linlithgow and the chapel of Torphichen (WLO), in the presence of Richard, bishop of St Andrews and Walter, archdeacon of St Andrews, and other clerics whereby the chapel of Torphichen will have a cemetery to bury the bodies of the men of Torphichen and will accept all the teinds of those men and all rights from the mother church of Linlithgow, excepting that each year on the vigil of Easter the chapel of Torphichen shall render one mark to the church of Linlithgow. The priest at Torphichen shall answer to the bishop of St Andrews for the cure of souls and Christian oaths and shall be chosen and represented by the brothers of the hospital of Jerusalem to the masters of the same villa.
