Description
Robert de Burneville, son of Matilda daughter of Gerold de Thanu, has granted, and by this his charter established, to Kelso Abbey, for the welfare of his lords, King William and his son Alexander, and for the souls of his grandfather Gerold and his mother of the same, who was his firstborn of Marsina, in free and perpetual alms, all of that holding, to the extent that it belongs to him, in Broxmouth (ELO), which the monks had and held by gift of his grandfather Gerold, before his inheritance came to him (Incomplete).
