Description
An agreement is formed between the abbot and convent of Dryburgh and the master and brethren of Soutra, whereby the abbot and convent granted and relaxed to the House of Soutra all the teinds and rights that the brothers ought to pay, to the ecclesiastical court of the mother church of Channelkirk (BWK), for a ploughgate of land that they hold in the parish of Channelkirk called ‘Futhewethynis’ at Wedaleford, for grain for their own uses and cultivated at their own expense, and paying annually to the house of Dryburgh one pound of pepper and another of cumin at the fair of Roxburgh.
