Description
William of Conisbrough has given, granted and by this present charter established to Kelso Abbey, in free and perpetual alms, the church of Staplegordon (DMF) with the land pertaining to it, in the villa and out with the villa, by the same marches it held in the time of King David, and a fishery in the territory of the church and additionaly the pastures and common facilities of the villa itself with every thing else justly pertaining to it. He gave and granted all of this as the patron and lord of the estate for the soul of Geoffrey, his maternal uncle, and for the salvation of his soul and of his ancestors and my successors.
