Description
An agreement is formed between the abbot and convent of Dunfermline and Sir John of Restalrig, knight, the abbey’s tenant in the land of Hailes, and Simon, his son and heir, in the full court of Sir Ralph, the abbot, and the convent of Dunfermline at Musselburgh, whereby Simon will hold the land of Hailes, East Lothian, in his lifetime, saving to the abbey wards, reliefs, etc., and saving to Sir John the feu and right to the tenement of Hailes.
