Description
An agreement was formed, with the consent and wish of Sir Richard, bishop of Aberdeen, between the prior and convent of St Andrews and Thomas of Lundin, vicar of Bourtie, whereby the prior and convent demitted at ferme to the vicar all the land of the church of Bourtie (ABD), as in the ordination of Ralph, predecessor of the bishop, rendering yearly 3 marks, that is, 20s. at Pentecost and 20s. at Martinmas, saving to the prior and convent all liberties pertaining to the land at his court. Thomas, the vicar, may pay the prior and may remain with all the lands of the church in perpetuity, except those that were assigned to the vicars serving in the church of Bourtie by the ordination of Sir Ralph. The succeeding vicars in the church may be freed from the highest exaction.
