Description
An inquest was made of the land of Stephen of Blantyre and of the age of his son Patrick and if he should be the nearest and legitimate heir. These jurors, namely Gillemichel MacEdolf, Malcolm son of Gall, Duncan MacEdolf, Angus of Auchenross, Dubgall mac Malcolm, Gilmore mac Mohan, Patrick the clerk, Patrick ‘Pylche’, John mac Gall, Gilchrist mac Kessan, Dubgall mac Uhtred, who said that the land was worth 12 marks and that Patrick is the nearest and legitimate heir, and that he is of lawful age. Maurice son of Gall, Henry of Liberton clerk, constable of Dumbarton, and Sir Aymer of Maxwell and all the jurors have appended their seals.
