Description
John Avenel, son of Gervase Avenel, has given and granted, and established by this his charter, to Inchcolm Abbey half of his land that he held of Warin son of Robert English in the territory of Duddingston (MLO), with all the easements and liberties pertaining to the said land, as fully contained in the charter which Warin made for him. Moreover, they have free multure for the grain leaving the said land, as was granted to him in the charter of his father Sir Gervase Avenel, saving the forinsec service of the lord king, and saving a half pound of cumin to the said Warin and his heirs on the feast of St James for all the services and demands which apply to said lands.
