Description
William of Alwinton has given, granted and established by his charter to Melrose Abbey all his land that he had in the territory of Hassington (BWK) by gift of Sir Robert de Muschamp, with all pertinents, liberties, easements, rights, limits and bounds, as contained fully in the charter that Sir Robert de Muschamp gave to him, which charter he resigned into the hands of the lord abbot in confirmation of his donation. He has also given all that land with its pertinents within the villa of Hassington and outwith it. The monks will make the service of 1/20th knight to the king.
