- William of Alwinton son of William of Alwinton, has granted and established by this his charter to Melrose Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms, that donation which William his father made to the said monks of the land which Sir Robert de Muschamp handed over to his father in the territory of Hassington (BWK), with all its pertinents and easements, free and quit from all secular service, custom, exaction and demand.
