Description
William son of Philip of Greenrig, in the full court of his lords, the Abbot and Convent of Kelso, at Simon’s Corehouse, by rod and staff, have resigned and quitclaimed to his lords, the abbot and convent of Kelso, all rights which he had or was able to have in the third part of ‘Hautillet’ (LAN) with all the rights and pertinents of the said land, for a certain sum of money which they gave to him in his great need. If he or any of his heirs go against his resignation and quitclaim they are to pay 40 pounds to the abbot and convent, and he subjects himself and his heirs to the jurisdiction of whichever judge, ecclesiastical or secular, that the said abbot and convent may have chosen and by whatever form of censure.
