Description
Richard de Beaumont has given granted and established by this his present charter to David son of Hugh White of Haddington, for his homage and service, all the land of Caiplie (FIF), as well as three oxgangs of land in the field which is called ‘Ratheruch’ (in Kilrenny parish, FIF), with all their just pertinents, by stated bounds, in feu and heritage, with free entrance and exit, with all common easements of Crail, and with warren, free from all service, aid, army and cavalry service (equitatione), from all custom, exaction and secular demand, and from custodies and marriages, and from suit of court, for an annual render of 12d on Pentecost, at Crail.
