Description
Walter son of David son of Truite has given, granted and by this his charter established to Kelso Abbey, the chapel of his land of Halliburton (BWK) and has resigned it to the mother church of Greenlaw, which belongs to the monks, with the land, teinds, meadow, wood and everything else justly pertaining to it, for the salvation of the souls of his father and his soul and for all the souls of his ancestors and my successors, in pure and perpetual alms. The monks received his father and him and all his ancestors and successors into fraternity their house of Kelso and made them participants of all the benefits which occur or will occur in their church in perpetuity.
