Description
Philip of Halliburton has resigned his right and claim which I had or was able to have in the chapel of Halliburton (BWK) to the mother church of Greenlaw which belongs to lord abbot and convent of Kelso and has ratified and established the concession of his predecessors to Kelso Abbey of the same chapel. Lest he and his heirs or assigns contradict the aforesaid, he obliges himself and his heirs or assigns to the jurisdiction of the abbot in order that he may be able to compel them by sentence of excommunication and forfeit of 100 pounds of sterling payable to the fabric of the church of Kelso.
