Description
Adam of Gordon, knight, for the welfare of the souls of himself and his wife Alice, has given, granted, and by this his charter established, to Dryburgh Abbey, in free, pure and perpetual alms, all his peatary in the territory of Fans, which starts from the south side of the portion that was Adam son-in-law of William’s, towards the west near the borders of the peatary that Adam of Fans conferred on the canons, with free entrance and exit and with common pasture.
