Document 3/282/0 (Pais. Reg., 232-3)

Description
Thomas of Craigie, son and heir of John Hose, for the salvation of his soul, of his ancestors' and successors', has granted, and made firm by his present charter, to St James and Mirin of Paisley and the abbot and convent of that place, that donation which the late Sir Walter Hose, true lord and patron of the church of Craigie (AYR) made, gave, and made firm by his charter, to the aforenamed monastery and monks, in respect of the bestowal of the aforesaid church in free, pure and perpetual alms to them to hold and to have. He wills, and grants on behalf of his heirs, and makes firm by his present writing, that the aforesaid abbot and convent should have, hold and possess the said church, both from his own grant and confirmation as well as from the bestowal of the said Sir Walter, in free, pure and perpetual alms, as the charter of the said late Sir Walter Hose to the said abbot and convent drawn up in respect of the said church more fully sets out and bears witness.
