Description
Adam son of Edulf has given, granted, and by this his charter established, to Newbattle Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms for the increase of the land that he first gave them in his feu of ‘Lochogov’ (prob. PEB), another portion of his same land, that is, that which ascends to the west by stated bounds, which they will hold of him and his successors free and quit of all suit of court and service, exaction and demand.
