- Henry of Graham son of Peter of Graham has given, granted, and by this his charter established, to Newbattle Abbey, the land of ‘Balnebuch’ (MLO) as the burn falls into the Esk, which his father Peter gave to the monks and by his charter established, free and quit from all services, assises and gelds and all secular exaction.
