Description
Oliver son of Kilvert, has given, with the consent of his wife Beatrice, granted and by this his charter established, to Newbattle Abbey one ploughgate of land of the district (tellure) of Hailes (ELO) which is next to the land of Bearford (ELO) and a pasture for 300 sheep by the common pasture of the villa of Hailes, and free entrance and exit to the pasture, in pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all exaction and secular custom.
