Description
Walter de Hamile, for the welfare of his lord William, king of Scotland, and of Alexander his son, has quitclaimed all claim that he had to Newbattle Abbey over that land which lies to the northern side of the burn that descends from ‘Rauhenildestrother’, and flows by the ditch made between ‘Kressewelle’ (Monkrigg, ELO) and ‘Combircoleston’ (Colstoun, ELO), and by the ditch that divides the land of Monkrigg from that of William Giffard of ‘Lauediston’.
