Description
Patrick of Craigie, with the consent of his heirs and friends, has renounced all right which he had in the land of Moncreiffe (PER) with its pertinents, and has quitclaimed to David of Moncreiffe and his heirs in perpetuity in the court and presence of his lord Philip de Moubray, and in the presence of Master Matthew, chancellor of the lord king, John, abbot of Lindores, Sir Robert de Moubray, Geoffrey, prior of Dunfermline, Adam, prior of Cambuskenneth, Thomas of Restalrig, Thomas de Haye, John de Haye, David de St Michael, Elias of Dundas, and Henry de Forz, Reginald de Warenne, Michael Scot, Malcolm of Melville, knights, and William de Vaux, clerk of the lord king, and Bridin Potanach, judex of the king, and Arnold (?) of Craigie, his brother, and other responsible men, cleric and lay, for 40 marks which David paid him for the good of the peace and for the said friendly quitclaim. He has sworn faithfully into the hand of John, abbot of Lindores.
