The text of this document is virtually identical to that of the following quitclaim; however, the later charter includes warrandice and sealing clauses, as well as a clearly later date. Both texts were included in the unpublished British Library MS cartulary, although only the later text was published in the Bannatyne Club edition. Compare to Arb. Lib., i, no. 294, which may have taken place at the same time.
