Description
David the doorward has granted and by this his charter established in perpetuity that recognition of perambulation which was made between his land of Dunduff (FIF) and the lands of Dunfermline Abbey which are contiguous and lie around his land of Dunduff, in the presence of responsible men assembled to make that recognition by precept of the lord king, namely Constantine of Lochore, Michael Scot, Philip of Lochore, John de Oberville, Robert of Rosyth, Walter of Logie, Walter son of Gamel, Robert of ‘Syves’, Walter son of ‘Sahyf’, Elias the clerk, vicar, Bridin Potanach then judex, William Bretun, Gilbert of Cleish, Gilbert of Crambeth, Gilandrew of Torry, and many others; and by these jurors, Gillecrist of the Loch, Gillecostentin, Gillethomas, Bridin ?Cameron, Gilleserf son of Rolf, Gilmartin, Gillecolm son of Melg, John Trodi, Riscoloc, Gilandrew, Seth son of Lood, Gilpatric son of Manechin. M[urethach or Maurice], earl of Menteith, and Sir Duncan son of Adam (of Kilconquhar), sheriff of Fife, act as pledges.
