John Hopper has given to the almonry of the house of Coldingham, one toft with curtilage and one free brewhouse in the villa of Coldingham, lying between the toft of the late John Rape on the one side and the toft of Robert Granger on the other , in return for a certain sum of money that Brother RObert of Bowes, almoner of the house of Coldingham, has paid him in his urgent need.
