Description
John of Jedburgh and Mariota his wife, daughter of Maurice of Ayton, make known that since they are not able to discharge the service of 10 marks owed to the prior and convent of Coldingham from their land of Over Ayton, belonging to Mariota on account of her father Maurice, by hereditory right, they have resigned their whole land, to wit, a third of the land of the aforesaid Maurice, to the said prior and convent of Coldingham, by rod and staff in full court.
