Reginald ‘de’ (sic) Chen fils, lord of Duffus, and Mary his wife, note that they have occupied and detained the land of ‘le Runys’ (Rheeves?) of ‘Kylbuthock’ (Kilbuiack, MOR) which land Kinloss Abbey claimed for themselves. Reginald and Mary were understood to have possessed from the collation of King Alexander II, the said land of ‘Ruuys’ by its right bounds and with all its liberties and pertinents for 40 years quietly and peacefully without interruption. They have restored the land by the stated marches which Walter son of Alan perambulated by command of King Alexander II, including the marches between the abbey and Freskin, lord of Duffus.
