John of Kinross, son of Harvey of Kinross, has given, granted and by this his present charter established to Alexander of Ogilvie with Dionisia his daughter in free marriage all the land of ‘Belauht Clunoc’ (possibly Balloch next to Clunehill Wood in Kirriemuir parish, ANG) and ‘Hauht Nahauele’ (achadh nan sabhal, 'field of the barns', unlocated), by their right bounds and with all their just pertinents.
1239 X 1256
Magnus ‘son of the earl’, who witnesses this charter, refers us to the period when his father, Gilbert, a member of the Angus kin-group, was earl of Caithness and Orkney, i.e., 1239 – 1256.
