Description
Adam son of Odo, by consent of his wife and John, his heir, has sold to Sir John the prior and the convent of St Andrews all his land which he held in the villa of St Andrews (FIF) with its buildings constructed on it, which lays between the road that leads from the South Street to the flowing water to the abbey on one side, and the hospital of St Leonard on the other, for 40 marks of silver, which the prior and convent paid him in his great need, having and holding in perpetuity, free and quit from all exaction, service and demand. He obligates himself, his wife and his son on pain of £40.
