Description
Walter (de) Pershay, knight, son and heir of Lady Jean of Wilton, has inspected a charter of William Avenel son of Gilbert Avenel, dated 29 May 1260, which is copied in full (see 3/60/11). Walter Pershay ratifies the donation of William Avenel, saving to himself the homage and service that John of Wilton, feudator of William Avenel and Walter’s ancestor, saved to himself in the charter of infeftment which he made to William Avenel and Matilda his spouse.
