Description
Simon son of Simon of Orrock, has given and granted, and with the consent of Robert his son and heir, has confirmed to Dunfermline Abbey, all that whole land which Simon his father gave and conferred to Freskin his brother in the holding of Orrock (FIF), namely, those called Moyhouse and Knockdavie, with right and common (pasture) which he had or ought to have in the land of ‘Brecach’ (FIF), which he had bought from Freskin his brother, for a certain sum of money which was paid in full, having and holding free and quit from all dispute and exaction. The said abbot and convent have paid him in full 35 marks for this donation and grant in his great necessity. He has sworn on the holy gospels not to contravene this gift, and binds himself and his heirs, on pain of 100 marks penalty.
