Document 3/315/1 (NRS, RH 1/2/681)

Description
Richard of Kilmaron, his liege, writes to the magnificent prince and his most reverend lord, Sir Alexander (III), illustrious king of Scots, informing his reverend lordship that he has given in free feuferme and granted and by a certain charter of his established to Alexander son of Colin son of 'Carimer' (Carun) of Cupar, his relative (consanguineo meo), his land of ‘Kinmult’ or ‘Kinmuk’ (lost, in FIF), namely of ‘Woddeflatter’ which is called ‘Lillockisfeyld’ (Lilac, Monimail ph., FIF), with all its pertinents and bounds according to the tenor of his said charter, made out to Alexander regarding the said land. Hence it is that he, for (his) humble part, considered it appropriate (dignum duxi) to prevail upon his reverend lordship to confirm his said donation and grant made to the same Alexander.
