Description
Adam Cammoys has given in exchange, granted, and by this his present charter established all his land of Elliston (ROX) to the porter of Melrose for a certain oxgang of land in the territory of Ednam (ROX), which the same porter bought from Richard Cammoys his brother, with all its liberties and easements, rendering annually to the lord king 2s. 6d. on the two terminals, viz., half at Martinmas and half at Pentecost and making forinsec service pertaining to that land, for all secular service, custom, exaction and demand.
