Description
John of Denmuir has given, granted, and by this present charter established to Sir Matthew of Moncreiffe and Marjorie, his spouse, and John’s sister, all the land of ‘Superior’ and ‘Inferior’ Dumbarrow (PER) in free marriage, with all its liberties and easements, rights and pertinents, free and quit from all custom, secular service, exaction and demand, for an annual render to Sir Hugh of Abernethy of ½ mark, 40d at Pentecost and 40d at Martinmas, and making forinsec Scottish service of the lord king. And if it should come about that Matthew and Marjorie have no heirs between them, the land will revert to John and his heirs.
