Description
Henry son of Samson of ‘Logis’ (Longcroft), with the consent of his wife and heir, has given, granted and by this his present charter established to Dryburgh Abbey and to his mother church of Channelkirk (BWK) in the villa of Samsonshiels (now Shieldfield in Lauder parish, BWK) one toft and croft, with three acres of land next to his house and also that land which is lies from the west between the said croft and the river by stated bounds, including the acre of William son of Robert, in free, pure and perpetual alms.
