Description
William de Moreville, constable of the king of Scotland, has granted and by this his present charter established, in free, pure and perpetual alms, to Melrose Abbey, for the salvation of his lord, William, king of Scotland, and his father, mother, himself, his wife, Christina, and all their ancestors and successors, the chapel of Saint Mary of Park on Leader (ROX) with the whole court pertaining to the chapel, by stated bounds. Additionally, he grants and establishes to them the whole land of ‘Milkeside’ (in Melrose, ROX), by the bounds found in the charter of his father and his mother and named in this his charter, [free] from forinsec service and all terrestrial service and secular exaction.
