Description
Eggou (Aed?) Ruffus, with the will and assent of Duncan his heir, has given and granted and by this his charter established, to the Priory of the Isle of May, for the souls of himself, his father and mother, and Duncan his son, and Duncan his heir, and his wife Agnes, and others, in free, pure and perpetual alms the land from the burn that has divided his land from the land of Lingo (FIF) as far as the ditch that was made in his presence and that of other responsible men, that is, of Agnes his wife, Robert the mair, William ‘Bolk’, Ulf of Lingo, Malcolm of Inverie (aka St Monans), and certain others on the side of the hill which is on the north side of the same burn, [free and quit] from all army service and multure and all other service and exaction.
