Description
Adam the ‘vilure’ and Ann, his spouse, for the salvation of their souls and the souls of all their ancestors and sucessors, have given and by this their present charter established to Melrose Abbey, in pure and perpetual alms, the whole part of their land in Berwick (BWK) above Ness which they bought from William Merriell, namely that land which extends towards the east by the land which they bought from William of Bernham.
