Description
John of North Berwick remitted 30 shillings which the abbot and convent rendered to him and his heirs for the land which is called Kingseat in the territory of Penshiel (ELO) and quitclaimed all the land of Kingseat to the abbot and convent in perpetuity with all right which he and his heirs had or were able to have in it for 32 marks and 40 pennies of sterling which the monks released to him, freely and quietly from all service, exaction and demand which John and his heirs were able to extract.
