Description
William de Quarrantilly, burgess of Lanark, has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Dryburgh Abbey one burgage plot in the villa of Lanark between the house of William the weaver and the house of John ‘Blaw’, which he granted to them and placed in full sasine, in exchange for another burgage plot which the abbot and convent had in the same villa, facing the grantor’s house, which they granted to him and by their charter established. John son of Enoch who holds the said plot at feuferme from William will pay 5s. to the abbot and convent for the annual rent of the said burgage plot, half at Pentecost and half at Martinmas.
