Document 3/485/2 (Dryb. Lib., no. 233)

Description
Robert de Quarrantilly makes a statement that he believes the chapel of Cleghorn (LAN) to belong by parochial right to the mother church of St Kentigern of Lanark, just as shown by the abbot and convent of Dryburgh before judges delegated by the pope, and adjudicated by their sentence. Any rights which he had in the territory of Cleghorn, he thus grants and quitclaims to Dryburgh Abbey, for the soul of his lord, Philip de Valognes, and others.
