Description
Robert de Muschamp sends greetings to Master Alan the archdeacon, the dean and the chapter of Northumberland, his lord, Earl Patrick and his son, Patrick, Robert de Merley, Roger Bertram, Odinel of Ford, Hugh of Morwick and all the other witnesses which are contained in his charter which he made to the monks of Melrose concerning the land of ‘Trolhope’ (i.e. Troughburn, Northumberland). He wants them all to know that he wanted them to be confidants and witnesses of his alms which he made to the monks of Melrose. He entreats that they will be witnesses as in his charter his donation.
