Description
Robert de Muschamp, son of Robert de Muschamp, has firmly promised, for him and his heirs, that they will not cause or allow anyone to cause harm or annoyance to the monks of Melrose or their lay-brothers or their animals in his alms of 'Trolhope' (i.e. Troughburn, Northumberland). Additionally, he grants to them that their shepherds may have mastiff dogs for the guarding of their animals within their bounds.
