Description
David of Lindsey of Barnweill has given, granted and by this his charter established to Balmerino Abbey for his welfare and for the welfare of Sir Alexander (II), king of Scotland, and for the soul of Lady Ermengarde, of good memory, queen of Scotland, and of others, 20s. in perpetuity as a pittance annually on the anniversary of the death of Ermengarde, late queen of Scots, his lady, falling annually on Pentecost from his mill at ‘Kerchow’ (prob. Kercock, Kinclaven ph., PER).
