Description
John Comyn, knight, has given, granted and made firm in perpetuity by this his charter to Melrose Abbey and their men free movement through the middle of his land of Dalswinton (DMF) and of Duncow (DMF) with their beasts and carriages towards their lands which they have in Nithsdale, for going as well as returning by the road, that is, the road which he gave and assigned to them in his own person in the year 1250 in the month of October. He has also granted further specified travelling rights.
