Description
Robert of London has established by this his present charter the charter of his father in which he gave and established to Melrose Abbey half a ploughgate of land. And additionally, Robert himself affixed the half ploughgate and the adjacent remains of the land which lie near ‘Derestredt’ (in Lessudden, ROX), by stated bounds. He granted and gave all this for the salvation of his soul and for the soul of Thomas, his uncle, and for the souls of his father and mother and all his relatives.
