Document 3/586/18 (Dryb. Lib., no. 286)

Alexander de Vaux notes that since David, bishop of St Andrews, with the consent of Dryburgh Abbey, had granted a chantry to the chapel which his predecessors founded in the villa of Dirleton (ELO), he promises that the chapel shall faithfully serve the mother church of Gullane (ELO).
