Description
Alexander de Vaux notes that since David, bishop of St Andrews, with the consent of Dryburgh Abbey, had granted a chantry to the chapel which his predecessors founded in the villa of Dirleton (ELO), he promises that the chapel shall faithfully serve the mother church of Gullane (ELO). He and his heirs shall also have that chapel served at their own expense.
